Florida State controlled the entire game on their way to an 88-66 win in the opening round over Boston College. The loss is the 19th straight conference loss for BC as they finish 0-19, the worse conference season in ACC conference history.

Florida State got a big performance out of senior guard Devon Bookert, who led the team with 15 points off the bench. He knocked down 6 of his 8 shots and 3 of 4 from behind the arc. Dwayne Bacon and Malik Beasley each scored 13 points while knocking down 10 of 19 shots combined.

It was a sad end to the season for BC and 5th year senior Dennis Clifford, who fouled out with 9 minutes left in the game. He finished his BC career with a solid 15 points and 9 rebounds. Coach Jim Christian praised his senior after the game saying he is going to go down as one of the best players in Boston College history.

Florida State takes on Virginia Tech tomorrow night in the nightcap of day 2.
